A Real Soldier, Forever

One week ago I attended a remarkable event marked by great dignity, affection, and respect; the beginning of an unknown soldier's long journey home, deferred by 147 years.

Mannie,

Thanks for sharing this, a truly humbling video. My family and I were lucky emough to holiday in the US twice, we were able to visit Gettysburg, Fredricksburg, Manassas, Yorktown but not Antietam - perhaps another time. Compared to sites here in the UK, your battlefields are respectful but accessable, we seem to treat our Civil War as some sort of comedy played out by funny men in strange costumes. Good to see that you respect your veterans, no matter how long ago they gave their lives.
Soldier On!
